So excited to share these maternity pictures with you today!
We took these 12 days before her due date, it was all last minute but I am so happy that Gloria reached out about a maternity/newborn photoshoot.
Notice how she color coordinated her little family so perfectly. She is wearing a long sleeve burgundy dress, Mark is wearing a long sleeve white shirt and Kane is wearing a long sleeve white shirt with burgundy strips. It all flows together so nicely, with the choice of everyone wearing long sleeve and sticking with 2 colors.
While I was editing these images I was listening to 'You will always be son' and 'When I pray for you' by Caleb + Kelsey. It brings back all the emotions for me of when I had my 2 children. Definitely look up those songs if you haven't heard them before.
When I asked her if they found out the gender she said yes but they weren't telling anyone! That must be such a hard secret to keep!!! It reminds me though of how God knows everything, things we will never know. We see things differently then him because we cant see what lies underneath; we can never truly see the big picture. We trust him because we know he knows what is best.
Do you find out the gender of your babies? Do you keep it a secret or tell everyone? Or maybe you liked to be surprised when your baby makes his/her arrival! Personally speaking we found out the gender of our first baby and kept the second a surprise.
I don't usually do photoshoots in the field, but I love how the harvested wheat field stands out so beautifully. The bush behind sheltered us from the crazy fall wind! So it was absolutely perfect! I would love to do more photoshoots here, so let me know if you would like to use this location!
My favorite picture from this session is the black and white one where Kane is reaching out towards mommy's tummy.... eyes closed. It is so moving and emotional, siblings have this strong strange bond. This image is a glimpse into the bond that these two will share.
Thank you for letting us capture this special season of your life. Savor every minute. Soak up every moment. Because just when you think it can’t possibly get better, it does.
